Susan Chitty

British author born in 1929, the daughter of novelist Antonia White. She followed in her mother's footsteps, writing a number of books, both fiction and non-fictional. Of her novels one was horse themed. This is actually an adult story about a young woman embarking upon a career with horses. Other non-fictional horse-related titles included a biography of Anna Sewell, an autobiographical account of her long distance trek with two donkeys entitled The Great Donkey Walk, and a horsy compilation called The Puffin Book of Horses (for which her name is perhaps best known to horsy readers, as it is a very easy book to find).
